This term in geography year 2 have been learning about the continents and oceans that make up our world. They have learnt that the earth's surface is called the crust and that there are layers beneath the crust leading down to the core at the centre. The children enjoyed making diagrams and maps as part of this unit.
We are reading
Year two are reading books from the Willow Wildthing series by Gill Lewis.

Year 2 will be swimming after Christmas. PE day after Christmas. Wednesday Swimming & Friday PE.
In our English we have been reading the text Augustus and his Smile. Through learning about the book the children have learnt about alliteration, adjectives and using superlatives and comparatives. The children planned and wrote their own stories based on this text about an animal that lost something and then after searching, found it again. Here are some examples.
