art
At our Federation, children make links in art through cross curricular learning, developing their understanding of diversity and culture when learning about great artists, craft makers, and understanding the historical and cultural development of their art forms. Children develop specific skills, knowledge and understanding to enable them to work with a variety of media, style and form. Each year, children develop their skills in collage, printing, textiles, drawing, painting and sculpture. We enjoy celebrating the art that is created through our Federation ‘Gallery’.

Art Progression
The document below describes progression through the key skills and techniques pupils should master in Art. We have a focus on exploring and developing ideas and the work of other Artists because this supports all of the skills taught. Our Art often links with other subject areas whenever these links are relevant.
